Whether you consider yourself a step family or a blended family,Restored & Remarried is a hands-on resource for you. Been remarried for awhile or just contemplating the idea? Restored and Remarried will encourage and equip couples for the step family adventure. This seminar is fun and interactive and it's most definitely, "guy friendly."
About Restored & Remarried
Restored & Remarried Seminar is especially designed for people who are blending a family and need the foundational building blocks to enjoy their remarriage, no matter how long they’ve been married. Communication tools are both fun and very interactive. Believe it or not, Restored & Remarried is really 'guy friendly!'
On Friday night, we will lay the groundwork for the marriage. There are a lot of books and resources on marriage in general, but not a lot on what it takes to have a successful remarriage. Because 60% of remarriages end within the first two years, we think it is vital to encourage and equip these marriages with practical applications. We allow time for couples to interact with each other face to face during the sessions. There is also opportunity for couples to talk with other couples, where they can find similarities and connections in a supportive community.
On Saturday, we will focus on the adventure of blending a family. Bringing together different traditions, rules and personalities from two different families into one home is tough. This is no cake walk, but it can work, and work quite well. It takes trust, honesty and commitment to the stepfamily process with a "no turning back" attitude. The process of leaving a healthy, strong legacy for remarried couples and their families is what Restored & Remarried is all about. We integrate visual object lessons and create a fun atmosphere.
Our message is, “If you ain't got the marriage, you ain't got nothin'.”

The Stuarts
Gil and Brenda live in Vancouver, Washington. They have 7 children between them, ages 17-28. Gil graduated from Bethany Bible College; he currently is an insurance broker and active in the community with marriage and family issues. Brenda was on staff as Children’s Pastor of their church and now works with a youth development organization and is involved with marriage and family initiatives.
They deliver a fresh style of encouragement to this ever-growing population in society— the blended family. Willing to speak the obvious from their own step family adventure, the Stuarts share heart to heart as they walk the walk.
They are Prepare - Enrich certified through Life Innovations. They are also board members of Thriving Families of Clark County, WA.
Restored & Remarried Workbook
Each section of the workbook is central to the issues presented in the six seminar sessions. You'll get the chance to dialogue with others around the terms and concepts related to remarriage and stepfamily life. The workbook serves as a guide for discussion in a small group setting or, you can use it between “just the two of you.”
The Remarried / Stepfamily couple faces many unique challenges. We think that you’ll find the workbook practical, encouraging and a source of reflection even if you have not attended the seminar.
One can never get enough support and encouragement in their life. We are honored to be part of your process of leaving a healthy, strong legacy for your family.
Workbooks can be purchased at the seminar or by contacting us.

Statistics:
2nd marriages fail because of two main things:
Lack of information (books, websites, seminars)
Lack of support (friends, family, mentors)
The Facts:
43% of all marriages are remarriages for at least one of the adults (NSRC 1990)
65% of remarriages involve children from the prior marriage and from stepfamilies (NSRC 1990)
60% of all remarriages eventually end in legal divorce (U.S. Bureau of the Census, 2006)
80% of those divorces could be prevented by 2 things: information and support (Dick Dunn)
“If you’re looking for some marriage mentoring from a couple who is a living lesson on successfully navigating a second marriage and blending a family, you’ve got to get acquainted with the ministry of Gil and Brenda Stuart.
